From the Life Imitates Art file

So, according to multiple sources, Rahm Emmanuel the new White House chief of staff for the Obama Administration (I still giggle in joy every time I read, hear, or write the phrase ‘Obama Administration,’ by the way) was the original inspiration for the Josh Lyman character on the West Wing. For the final season, Barack Obama was a major inspiration for the Matt Santos character.

Now I’ve never been much of a fan of Emmanuel, but I find it funny as hell that the real-life version of Matt Santos followed his fictional predecessor’s lead in selecting his chief of staff.

Oh, and for those of you who watch Entourage on HBO, Rahm’s younger brother Ari Emmanuel is a Hollywood agent who inspired the Ari Gold character on that series.

Maybe it all is a giant Hollywood Liberal Elite conspiracy. Stay tuned to Limbaugh and Hannity for all the details, I’m sure.
